Patrick, I'll have a gander. I agree with DIM that for the money the Post WWII sporting arms are a value. Especially those by the same mechanics that made them pre-War. Circa 1950 there was a lack of components and raw materials and it was that coupled with a dip in quality that the Germans just weren't going to tolerate. So the Russians made additional sourcing lines available to quell a potential revolt.
