Great news for common sense. A shotgun registry was brought into being here in Britain requiring all shotguns to be recorded by serial number on a person's certificate and all transactions to be notified. This was brought in despite the expensive failures of the Canadian model. Well it was brought in by the Blair Government who were very anti fieldsports in the main. It has proved to be expensive and time consuming for everyone involved and I can't think of a single example of how a crime has either been detected or prevented by its exsistance. It would be great if our current Government looked at it and learned a few lessons. A freedom lost is usually a freedom lost forever as few have the guts to change it just on the off chance there may be one single incident for which they would then be critisised. Lagopus.....
