Hi All:
I very much like what he had done to HIS gun! That place means a lot to him so why not do what YOU want to YOUR gun!
Just because it is not a traditional engraving, does it mean that it is bad. May you be able to enjoy YOUR gun for a very long time.
Stay well,
Franchi

LeFusil, I did s gun a few years back with Fremont Island engraved on it. it's still archived in the BBS under gun porn browning style-pictures. It is easy to search under my posts, but I donn't know how to link it to this thread. maybe someone could help???

Dang, that's a purty gun. I find that picture beautiful. Engraving is subjective. I kinda enjoy seeing things on guns I don't see on factory run guns. The cool thing is, you won't see that on any other gun.

IM, Sounds like a another cool, personal motif, I congratulate you on having the balls to not really care what "others" might think of your ideas, seeing how it's YOUR project. Some guys on here only buy guns or like engraving patterns that OTHER people will like so they can stroke each other and ohhhh and awwww over it. The same kinda people seem to get off to asking repetitive questions on the board just to take up space. What part of Utah are you in? If your ever on your way up north or gonna be around my neck of the woods...send me a pm and bring your guns, I'd love to see them in person :-)

Thanks Sam. Funny thing is that I put my heart and soul into the Browning project and accomplished just about everything I wanted in bulino engraving. The Parker project started out as a "Cheaper" project with an RBL that didn't pan out and grew into what it is today. For me the engraving tells another chapter in my hunting life.

IM,
I hope my wise crack about ZZ Top and English Pointers didn't stymie you. It was my attempt at humor that may have been lost in the medium of transmission.
You're a first rate artisan and I congratulate you on a beautiful job.
Just next time for decency's sake, can you do a Spaniel or Setter? ;-)
