I have owned several sets of Briley 28 gauge tubes in various guns, and with the option of different chokes, they make a bigger gun so much fun; it's almost sinful.
I'm from Nebraska, so the phrase "I'd do it in a New York minute" may be a stretch, but, especially for skeet and doves, shooting 28's is as sweet as that first kiss was all those years ago.
But, then, the decision is yours.
Some 20+ years ago, my brother in law told me "shooting 28 gauge is better than sex." At the time, I didn't quite believe him, but now that I am in my 70th year on the planet, he is much, much closer to being right!
What the heck.......if you want them, buy them and enjoy.
