Does anyone have the thread or pictures saved for this sxs? I believe it was a Parker Reproduction with a unique scene of an abandoned pickup truck on receiver bottom. Likely a year + ago.
Thanks!

I believe it may be a coupe, engraving by Lee Griffiths.

Beautiful bulino engraving. The gun appears to have undergone a ST to DT conversion.

Thanks for the link Gents. This is the one I was looking for.
I recalled incorrectly as its not a truck. I think Ken Hurst had a hand in this one.

Glad you like it gents. I had some REAL writter's block on this one. I was going to go with quail and fence posts when Ken had the gun, but I wasn't happy with it and when Lee got it, I decided to keep the quail theme, but add in my favorite pheasant hunting area. The mountians are a composite of Anderson Hill in Howell Valley, Utah and Salt Creek Waterfowl Management Area. My Pheasant Landowner friend has cars and junk on his place just like this. They just plow around it and keep planting. Lee is an old farmer so he knew exactly what I was talking about from the very first conversation. I think it was worth the wait. it took a lot of time and a lot of loot. It will probably be the last engraving project for quite some time. Time to move on to maybe an UZI next year. Quite a change I know. but gun fettishes are like that. P.S. The gun has always been a DT gun.

It's a darn shame that ZZ Top left their trademark vehicle to rot in the fields like that. I understand abandoning an English Pointer like the one portrayed, but the classic car too?

This would have been better conveyed through a sad country song than as a metal portraiture, in my humble opinion.
