Jim I do not know if the buyer got his money back. When I left they were not done with the deal. The seller had both the gun and the money at that point and was in a very strong position to agrue with the buyer. To me the buyer was an jerk of the worst type. Did what he knew full well he could not do, then deny and lie about it. The seller he did not know the gun had been shot untill he unpacked it and inspected it while I happened to be in his shop. He was as I said pissed and they had to conclude the deal over the phone. I bet next weeks heating bill that the buyer took the gun as is or lost one hell of a lot of money.
Unfired NIB guns never come with a shooting inspection as that destroys most of their uniquness. Like ######## a virgin, not quite the same after the fact. I have seen guns that were marred by just putting them togeather incorrectly.
Really all you have to do is ask 99% of the time and a seller will let you shoot the gun one or two times to make sure it works. No need to shoot a 100 to know if the gun works.
