Out of about 40 Perrins guns we have found I think there are 4 false hammer guns - so Henry must have been quite an enthusiast for the system.
I see yours is a false pin fire hammer - never seen one of those before - I think all the Perrins ones are mimicking the conventional centre fire.
These forums are great - as soon as you publish something there is someone else thousands of miles away with a comment or a new variation that you have never seen before.

This is another 'Perrins' variation on the false hammer idea. These cocking leavers also act as indicators. The mechanism is cocked either by the lever under the trigger gaurd, which also opens the gun, or by usuing the leavers individualy. The hammers can also be made safe by using the leavers.
