I couldn't even imagine what I would choose. I have never had a shopping list, don't have one now. Every one of the hundreds of shotguns I have owned has taken me by complete surprise.

I had two 16 ga 21s. Sold them both. Too heavy to carry all day and they handled like clubs. IMO a very over-rated gun.

W.W. Greener sidelock in 16 gauge, double triggers, english/straight stock - with no barrel or stock alterations.

For $5K I'd be looking for a Win. 21 in 20 ga., preferring an early two trigger gun.

Fine with me if it is well worn, and it probably would be at that price.

With another 10K I'd put together the three or four trips it would take to get infront of every upland bird species in North America.

I have about the low amount in each of a number of guns. I don't think any of them are "the last gun I'll ever buy". I've concluded there is no such thing for me. I hunted some trecherous hills yesterday with two of them.

And this one

OK- sounds like our poker nite round-table ?? if you were stranded on a deserted island for 30 days, but had a generator, fuel, TV, VCR- etc- what five movies that you have seen at least twice in your lifetime would you want-- and also, what five books that you have read at least once--

$5000-- A 12 gauge LC Smith FWE Specialty grade 30" M&F for sale in Duluth, MN as we e-speak. DT, POW grip, red Silvers pad-I have 5 Smiths at present, four are pre-1913 ejector 12's- but alas, I do NOT yet have an ejector 12 Smith on the FWE frame- the balance for shells and a spot for a handicapped Veteran to shoot doves with me down in Dixie--

$10,000- the same Smith as above, shells, a Fishman pick-up for my 1968 Vintage martin DH-35, and two or three handicapped veterans to shoot doves with me down in Dixie

$15,000 - exactly the same as the 10K, the rest ($5000) donated to my friend John Croyle's Big Oak Ranch down in Gadsden AL-- to set up a .22lr and BB-gun hunter safety program and shooting range- guns, targets and shells- for the homeless and orphaned boys he and Ti take in-- John was a star player for 'Bama for legendary Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, walked away from a nice NFL contract with the Washington Redskins, a college pal and fellow player gave John his entire signing bonus back in 1976 to start Big Oak--John is a living example of what the late Fr. Flannigan once said- circa 1924-- "No man stands taller than when he bends down to help a child in need"--

One of the Charles Gordon guns would be nice, but not for dragging through the woods.
