Hauptmann of Ferlach is currently offering a triple rifle on the horizontal plan.
With kind regards, Jani

I have seen another Hauptmann shotgun with a .22 Hornet rifle barrel between the shot barrels, in that size and with the barrels closed is looks like a conventional side by side.
On the Dickson which has the 'pyramid' configuration, it has two triggers. The front trigger fired the bottom barrel then the right barrel and the rear trigger only the left barrel. Also, unlike the in-line configuration the triggers were not articulated and looked like a normal double trigger gun.

Not in the class of the Dickson, but here is a Morian three barrel 16 ga.from France. Three triggers, two sidelocks and one trigger plate lock. Under 7 pounds and loads of fun to shoot.] Daryl, I've never come across Morian shotguns before, but this looks a nice gun. From an auctioneer's website it says: "Upper barrels are cocked by opening the action; the lower barrel is cocked by moving the top lever." Nigel.

I have handled the 3 barrel Dickson 16 bore when it was for sale in the Dec 2010 Holts sale in London. It was absolutely magnificent and extremely unusual, as well as being of expected high quality. Balance was excellent and it did not feel unwieldy in any way. I seem to remember it going for a figure in the high twenties ().

Nigel, I found the gun you reference. Yes, mine does cock the lower barrel with the opening of the thumb lever [top]. Also, the gun's two upper barrels are Damascus, while the lower one is fluid steel. I reweighed the gun and it is just over 7 pounds. Two front triggers are articulated, Anson forend release.

Daryl, When you say 'found' and 'mine' do you mean in your gun safe? You own one of these? Nigel.

Nigel, I "found" a 20x20x20 Morian listed [no picture] for sale in a 2001` Butterfield auction. Not mine. The gun I own and pictured above is a 16x16x16 but sounds similar to the Butterfield one. I have never found another Morian gun for sale, except a nice pistol from the late 1800s. The finishes and fitting on my 16x16x16 are quite good and it's fun to carry. Safety on the left sideplate takes a bit to get used to, but works fine. Actually, I had never noticed before that the toplever cocked the bottom barrel. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
