Thats good advice. Another gun that comes up occasionally is the Baker 1897 type hammergun. It is well made and I have bought a couple in the 300 dollar range that were in excellent shape. The only thing I dont like about most hammerguns made during that time period is the low hammer spurs that are hard to cock.(both hammers at the same time with the palm) I much prefer the earlier hammer guns with really tall spurs that you can cock on flush with the palm for two quick shots...
