I was an earlier bidder and would have bid higher had it not had a reserve price on it. Mike, the gun in my post was a quite ornate, high condition gun from a famous collection of hammer guns of all types as I recall. One does see this same patent in H. Holland, Burroughs, and a few other makers. Here's another for sale at Julia in 2005.
