Dear Sirs,
I am not so skill in this matter of Tula shotguns . But according my opinion this gun 601 could be produced during second wold war . As it have not any marks are mentioned in book I have had a look as producer save capacity by this way and specialy it have five point star is traditional mark for Red ( Soviet ) Army . But is just my impression Also it have not any marks of producer which were before revolution - it was two heads eagle .
Re Mosin you are lucky as to find here at my nation this gun in good condition is real problem .Specialy your sample was produced before 2WW and this mean quality have to be higher than production during it .
