Just tuned in to see how the "Caveat Emptor" post was coming along.......Found it "locked"! That's awful! Was one of the most interesting threads I have followed in a while.
Dave, I know this is your forum, but why lock a thread that draws four thousand four hundred and eighty six views, and one hundred and twenty eight posts???? Seems like interest is rather high..... Grant.

Sooner or later that car wreck on the side of the road needs to be hauled away.

I hate to watch a person drive his car off the cliff and scream all the way down that they meant ot do it and would do it all again the same way and that those of us who are watching are wrong to doubt him. That post was a sad car wreck with a constant hole getting dug deeper. As Dirty Harry said a man needs to know his limitation and from that lesson a man needs to know when to quit when he is behind.

It was 'dead' from post one...and really should be deleted intirely.

Along with this one.

I wish someone had blocked my "French" thread before it swerved out of control. From Shotguns to world politics in ten easy pages. Someone has to play traffic cop. Kindest regards Dr. Dozier sends

I was enjoying it ;-),

who needs car crash TV when we've got that on "The" BBS...

I have also had problems with certain manufacturer's / dealers - I am a fairly private person though - publicly washing your laundry very very rarely achieves anything - and can often result in you becoming a target. "The old Archer's maxim - stick your head over the parapet and be prepared to get shot at"!!!

I feel an element of sympathy for both parties involved, we can all make errors of judgement - its how you rectify them afterwards - communication is a very great thing.

yours in hindsight :-)
