I am looking at a Ugartechea Gr IV SLE from Steve Barnett. He has told me he bought these guns at auction and they were made for an importer/dealer in England called McNab. The gun has 30 in barrels and that is a big selling point to me. The gun is stamped McNab Woodcock. They are "on sale" for 3k. Are they any diffrent than a Lion Country gun? Are they worth $500 more than a Lion Country gun? The dimesions fit me but I would have the chokes eased and some cast put in, which would add to the price. They are Mod and Full and as a grouse/woodcock hunter I want them a little more open. This would just be my 2nd sxs so I am still learning.

Make sure you know the weight of the gun you're getting. If you're looking at his 20g Uggie IV's, with the 30" barrels, my recollection was that they were pretty heavy, near 7lbs?

Barnett says 6-4# to 6-5#...I looked at these too. Darn near scrapped the RBL order 'cause of the 30" barrels and 15" stocks. That makes 'em worth more to me, as LCS's guns are 28" and 14.5" max.

Thanks, They claim the weight of the one I am looking at is 6lb 5oz. The dimesions fit me except the cast is neutral. Could you tell me the approximate cost of having the stock bent? and chokes opened.
