It doesn't have the same dollar value as Purdey, Boss, H&H but I'd take one anyday of the week. On par with Westley, Greener and so on. If the case and mold is original, and the rifle looks in good shape it's not a bad price at all. Ask for lots of photos, see if they can ask the last owner for a load that regulated and it's most likely an older rifle with the non rebounding locks. It also sounds like a plain Jane working rifle. No engraving or other fancy stuff just lots of bang for the buck.
