Around 10 years ago one of the members of the BBS, (Dr?) Alan Griffith, was doing in-depth lab analysis of the major and minor brands bagged & Factory shells for hardness, roundness, shot actually true to nominal size advertized, deviations/percentages from size/shape/etc.
He provided a great deal of information to members of this board at that time.
I don't know if he is still active anywhere online.
He turned that testing into a business that is listed as an FFL;
