Salopian - Is your group THE famous Black Hand Gang profiled in the Double Gun Journal Autumn 2008 Volume 19 Issue 3?
If so, Give Mike Newland my regards and thanks. He inspired me to pick up a like-new pair of thick black leather trousers for a mere 20 bucks in a second-hand shop.
They're great if busting through brambles and such is the order of the day. Of course, my wife thought I was in a mid-life crisis, trying to be Jim Morrison or Iggy, so I showed her the picture of Mike strutting his Blackpowder Thang, grey beard and all!

Chuck, you can see the blaze orange at the end of each muzzle as its 3 -4 dram load gets triggered!

Hi, here is a rushed together clip of my "first" left and right with a muzzle loader. Please forgive my rather dubious etiquette I was very pleased! (both stone dead in the air) Also, my loader was holding the video, so the rather ad-hoc dropping of one gun and then grabbing the other wasn't particularly good protocol..but I was on a roll! But then for the second gun, which had done it several times before in the day, misfired and the cap didn't ignite..would have been 3 in a row I'm sure! (Excuse the expletive at the end of the video as the gun misfired! ). Muzzle Loading Video (40MB) (Right click and do a Save As or Save Link As) Cheers B

ARGH!!! The video doesn't show as it should. Gotta get my wife to help me out!
Tony, the vid shows at about 1 sec ata time. So out of frustration i kept hitting the play and the result was a flickering, 1920's type film, you moving in staggered motion - it was actually pretty cool! But i couldn't keep it going, I felt like a ham-fisted moron.
I'll see (and hear) it proper-like.
Congratulations on your first double (left and right); That ain't so easy with a muzzleloader! You should be in very good standing with the black handers!
