OP remfan Boxlock Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 4 Otsego County, NY	In a previous blog thread conversation about Elmer Keith Mag 10 Ithaca. Thread was between "Researcher" and another member. I believe that was last August. I may have the stock from the gun that was discussed. I purchased a stock on E-bay a few years ago from a pawn shop in Florida. I contacted the seller at that time and he had no history on this stock. It was advertised for a Rem 3200. Upon receiving the stock it was immediately obvious it was not for a 3200. I was going to return it but noticed faint pencil writing in back of stock. It said: "Elmer Keith". It is very faint and the light needs to be perfect to read it. Inspecting it more closely, I noticed scratched under the tang "Keit" (with no room for the "h"). The serial number for this stock is 500 004. If anyone has information regarding it would be appreciated. I have photos I can post if anyone is interested Thank you "... Keep clinging to your Guns and Bibles!"

It had a special stock with special checkering and a shield, not standard for a field grade. It may have been a stock originally planned for Elmer???? Last edited by Walter C. PL Sidelock Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 84 Likes: 1	Elmer Keith's Ithaca 10 is hanging on the wall in the Cabela's store in Boise Idaho. I believe the serial # is 500001. The plaque under the gun states he got it from Askins. It has been Restocked in birdseye maple.
