The Brits had different proof marks for the same information over the decades. I can't keep track of them. When a gun had the chamber lengthened from 2-1/2" to 2-3/4" it would be required to be reproofed. The 2-1/2" proof mark would remain but the new mark might say "1-1/4 oz" or 4Tons etc...

But yes, 1-1/4 oz proof would be for 2-3/4" chambers.
