Nigel, thanks so very much!! I sure do appreciate the additional info. Really adds to the guns history. I have a few English guns with the original owners history. This just adds to the fun of owning vintage guns, especially English ones.
One quick story. a friend of mine who is a pump gun lover once said when we were out hunting made this comment about my gun (I was shooting my Atkin as a matter of fact) and his 870.
He said "Your gun may cost a lot more than my gun, but mine has history". What he didn't know!!!
