I looked at my .410 M23 and it has about an eighth of an inch between the muzzles. Like Researcher indicated, its built on a 28 frame. Looks like Mike's example is built on a 20 frame.

Skeettx, thanks for the pictures. Ithaca5E, what variation of your Model 23 has only 1/8" between tubes?

While we're talking M23s, does anyone know if there was a M23 410 built with 28" barrels? I seem to recall a gun at a Lil' John auction many yrs ago with 28" barrels.

None were cataloged with 28" barrels.
I don't recall any .410 Model 23s that were made on the standard (12/20 gauge) frame. The baby frame Golden Quail(25 1/2") and Classic(26"), (500 of each) are all that come to mind.

Eightbore - that eighth was eyeballed. Caliper in hand, they put 0.145" between the tubes. A Classic.

I currently own 6 Harley-Davidsons(newest one is a 68)and only 2 410 SxSs.I must be in my third childhood at 61:).One of my 410s is a CZ "Bobwhite" which so far (about 2000 rounds)is IMO a lot of gun for the money.
