I would guess your Forehand marked shotguns are not guns from Hopkins and Allen. The later did take over Forehand after Mr. Forehand died. Forehand guns are usually grade marked on the receiver flats with numbers 1 thru 3 at least. The 3 Grade is decorated about like a C Grade Parker. The 1 Grade is a lower grade. I have seen a couple of special guns higher than a Grade 3. High grades are quite rare. Here's a Grade 3
