Thanks for the info.I have noticed that a large proportion of the Brno commercial rifles seem to be in Texas.Possibly there was a distributor down there that handled them. These rifles were built on a VZ-33 action(small ring 98),not the VZ-24 action,which makes them considerably lighter and trimmer.I have seen one other factory-scoped carbine(21F)in 7X57,but it got away before I could get it.It had the same Czech Optikotechna 4X scope as mine does.I believe that these scopes were mfg. by Meopta,which was set up by Zeiss in Czechoslovakia in the 1920's and given Zeiss manufacturing technology. My scope has coated lenses from 1946,which I think is noteworthy because the lens coating technology was developed by the Germans in the 1930's and was regarded as top secret.The allies did not have this technology until it was liberated at the end of WW2 and many of our military optics were retrofitted with it post-war.
