It's going to be tough without some pictures. If we can only do Q&A I'll ask some questions.
Is the side mount a single or double lever mount?
Is the mount mounted so there are no screw heads or pins showing on the outside?
Is the bolt knob checkered and is it round or pear shape?
Is the front trigger shaped the same as the rear trigger or is it curved downwards?
What kind of buttplate does it have?
What does the front sight look like?
PS: The barrel should read "Barreled by Griffin and Howe"
Hopefully there will be a board member who lives close by that could look at it with you.
