Ive been lurking here for a while thinking about rifles. I have a lot of experience with damascus double guns but vintage rifles are completely new to me. Here are some pics of my recent finds. I bought the 1917 just for the cool sight. I cant figure out how to put the pics in the post so you will have to go to the album to see pics... Sporter Album

Thanks for posting. Quite an interesting collection!
That sight on the Enfield looks like it could get the late night trucker's radio stations. ;-)
Are the 03's all 30-06's? I assume you've pulled them apart and found no maker's marks/names, etc?

Interesting collection, looks like a G&H Krag (do I have the barrel number?) and a Sedgley. I'll have to look closer at the rest.
Thanks for sharing.

The 1917 sight looks like a Vaver, IMO a very high-quality sight albeit somewhat ususual in appearance. Regards, Joe

You have the start of a wonderful collection. I really like the Krag, I've got its brother, but it is not improved. I think it is great that you are getting it our and using it. That is what these old rifles were made for.

Ross: FYI The sight is a Vaver Dial Micrometer Sight made by the Vaver Co. of Chicago Illinois. The old timers, when I was a kid called them "Chicago Safe Dial" Sights. HTH JERRY
