Hi folks,
I got my Purdey back from my stocker today. I'm really pleased with the wood. I think he's rather good at this lark. Anyway there is still a lot wrong that needs fixing, he broke a hammer pin putting back in, that's what you get with 1873 guns eh! Anyway barrels will start browning next week. I'm just going to gently clean this up. The forend is repaired but I think he's done an amazing job given what it was like 4 weeks ago!

Here are some pictures...she should be finished by Christmas so I can use her on the boxing day shoot. Fingers crossed.

Great looking Purdey, and a great job of stocking, with and excellent piece of walnut. And that checkering wraps around and over the grip, not an easy job at all. Really first rate.
