Gentlemen,
thank you very much for your friendly comments and hints. Also, the historical background of the “Selvyt” trademark infringement case is most interesting. But I’m really surprised, that nobody has seen such a tin before. Well, I haven’t seen such a tin before – but I haven’t seen as many WR as you experts for English doubles here, of course.

If or when your remove the locks, please follow the instruction on the box lid to cock them first. If not, you will have a very inconvenient time of it.
I’m well aware of this, rest assured! I’m lucky enough to have an original “manual” which came with the gun explaining how to take out the locks. Unfortunately, the “small cap” (made of rubber?) mentioned and shown in the one page advise is not included in the accessory “pack”.

Do you have pics of the rest of the gun? I would love to see them. OWD
Yes, I have photos of the „rest“. But I’ll present the gun not before I will have received a copy from WR’s ledger. Although I know exactly, who the first owner was – the exact date he bought it is more interesting for me. Just a hint: the gun belonged for 105 years to one family and was bought from the grand-grandson of the first owner just recently. The history is well documented and is not one of the “the guy I have it from told me” stories…..
Regards
Martin
