The taper on the Sedgley is one straight line from the small dia in the photo to the muzzle. This Sedgley is an early gun and I'm sure that it was made before the M70 came out. We are trying to figure out if there are more Sedgley rifles out there with this barrel profile as Micahel looked at all the photos of Sedgleys that he has and mine was the only one he could find with this profile. Turning the military barrel down to this profile would still have the spline showing in the larger dia portion unless it was filled.
