Page #131, 'Best Guns' by McIntosh: "the first .410 bore Model 21, No 25087, was built for John Olin in December 1950. It was equipped with two sets of vent-ribbed barrels,...". I have read, however, John Olin indeed preferred the matted rib on his guns.
