They didn't mention the crack because they knew they could give your buddy a discount on the gun once he had it in his hands.

This is an old trick dealers use to move stuff that's messed up.

It's also pretty sleazy. Those guys up at Wildwood saw the crack. I'm certain they brought it up when they were buying the gun.

Now your friend will be out shipping both ways if he sends it back.
