Stan, I appreciate your insight on what my gunsight problem is. A ghost-ring type peep sight may be just what I'm looking for. I checked out the peeps at NECG but can't quite see how any of them would fit on a sxs rib. I have a pretty inventive local gunsmith who might be able to figure something out. His suggestion last I spoke to him about it was a pickitinney (sp?) rail and a hologragh sight. Somehow I just can't see that on an old Sauer capegun.
