Ok, I posted on this before but this thread seems appropriate for my question. A local gun dealer has an Ithaca double 20 gauge. I own lots of doubles but no Ithacas. It simply says Ithaca gun Company, Ithaca N.Y. on each side of the receiver. It also has a lightly engraved English Setter (probably roll stamped). Quite a bit of case color and good original blue. The stock has been cut way down to about 13.5" with a crappy recoil pad. The barrels are 26 and about 1/8"long but do not appear to have been cut. The barrels virtually touch and the ends look right. No bore gauge available but the left barrel definitely has more choke than the right. The serial # on the water table starts with an S.
Price is $800. He may negociate. What do you all think. Best, Jake
PS. One other thing. There are cocking indicators on top of the breach behind the fences.
