The Simpson gun factory in Suhl was taken over by the Nazis and the Jewish Simpsons were sent into forced labor factories, to fuel Hitler's growing Wehrmacht, Kreigmarine und Luftwaffe build-up. The 6 point star was still used from 1933 to 1945, but only on the yellow badges that identified those of the Jewish faith- it was NOT used for proof markings, at least until after WW2 ended in Europe- possibly even later than that--
