any one know who made the Italian empire sxs mfg 1976 non ejector 12 ga. 23/4 &3inch overall a really nice gun thanks. MC

Mark, I just sold a Beretta Daly. It had a single trigger and 3in chambers.

The Daly Empire was sold from 68-71; made by Beretta. The only difference between it and the GR3 is the GR3 had more engraving and a selectable ST.
I know one of my books says it was sold until 76; not true. The Daly 500 SXS by Mirouku was sold until 76.
The Empire SXS was brought back again in the 90s I believe; made by another Italian maker.

Might be misremembering, but I believe all the Italian Daly Empire Grades I've seen have a vent rib. GR's, I think, typically had a solid rib, and often (maybe always?) a round knob/semi-PG, while the Empires had a full PG. But other than those cosmetic issues, essentially the same gun.

Now that we are the subject of Dalys, I have a Chas. Daly O/U that is Italian but no maker. I believe it was sold in the early 70's. Anyone know who the maker is? [img:left]  [/img]

GR's, I think, typically had a solid rib, and often (maybe always?) a round knob/semi-PG I don't have a GR2 but I do have a GR3. It has a vent rib and came with a capped PG stock, as I recall. I replaced the stock and forend with replacement Beretta factory wood from Cole, also capped PG. Same wood fits my 425, which now has a straight grip. My 425 originally had a round-knob PG, but it was too short when I acquired the gun, so it also got new factory wood from Cole.
