I doubt they "missed" the crack-they didn't mention it. Friend has been looking for a 16 NID for a while and expected some issues at a $1000 price-he isn't stupid. He is happy with what he got, so what anyone else would do is irrelevant. The wood isn't oil soaked, and I'm positive Keith can hem the wrist up just fine for a user gun, exactly what he wants. Some folks don't mind if their 80 year old doubles look, like, well, 80 year old doubles, and are priced accordingly.
If anyone ACTUALLY KNOWS what the capitol F on a NID stands for, I'd be interested in that fact. Thanks again.
