Harry, I'll bet the engraving was done by Bill Gamradt, the case colors by Joe Seeley?

Hello Steven,

Like BrentD says, you got it half right, I thought the clue of who did the CCH was pretty obvious after the broad hint I gave, however, I'm sure BrentD knows a lot more, like who did the gunsmithing, and stock making on this. I'm keeping fairly quiet about this rifle in print as the owner is supposed to be doing a write up on the build and I don't really want to 'steal his thunder.' It was a real honour to be associated even remotely with this magnificent rebuild, especially after a wannabe 'Bubba' had his hands on it in the past.

But what's going on inside that trigger guard? Not sure I have enough educated/educated enough fingers to work THAT mechanism..... (only HALF kidding--always seems to me a shame that J.B. didn't do his missionary year at Sharps. They'd still be in business!).

Mike it's far simpler mechanism to operate than it looks. The front 'reverse trigger' is the setting trigger, and it is pushed forward by the thumb. When it clicks the trigger is 'set'. To fire the rifle the rear item (a safety catch) is pulled to the rear using the trigger finger this frees the trigger and when it is pulled the rifle fires. Simple (when you know how) lol.
