Thank you BrentD, more of a Bloop tube barrel, I noted Joe used very short sections of barrel any particular reason for that? I have 10-12" of T.J.'s 3/8" 22rf liner from another project and an old M44 shortened at muzzle 1/2" barrel that has a nice shank and threads but a really rough outside, plus a off center 5/16" diameter short chamber liner? I will drill it through .377" and install that piece of liner, chamber it and see what happens, nice project and best of all no $ only some time involved!
Thanks again, Mike
Brent, I did 2 22LR back bores, 1 with 28" #2 octagon and the other with 24" #1 octagon turned to 1/2 round for super light weight. Both with 10" bores, both are tack drivers compared to the full-length barrels I've tried.
Regards, Joe
Mike,
I am going to bet that he did it like I had mine done. Bore out the barrel to about 0.6" or so, then insert a turned and crowned barrel of your choice (mine is 17" of Lilja) and glue or solder in place. Just a short liner on steroids. Shoots ridiculously well.
