Actually I appreciate this discussion, minus the personal stuff, because I appreciate others' input on the artisans I might consider using for my next project. I especially appreciate the posting of the photographs of the engraving. The style would not be something I would want on one of my projects but it is certainly not unattractive. When making decisions on how to spend what can be thousands of dollars on a pet project, input from others in invaluable. Style, fees, wait time and communication are things I want to know before I hire an engraver, smith or stock bender/maker. I will say that relating honest experiences with artisans should not attract the personal attacks that are evident here. This is a business with often involves large expenditures and friendship should not be a large factor in the choice of people to use.
