There are no pictures of that crap, it's already been struck off and destroyed. That's how much I hated it, I got angry every time I looked at it. I would never have bad mouthed Hurst on a public forum but I've tried to contact him for a resolution multiple times. His lack of response tells me that he knows he did substandard work but doesn't want to own up to it. Hence my running comments everytime his name comes up.
Destry What did he do try an capture your picture ? I remember a warthog he did that looked pretty tough

I've read this read with some interest, thinking I'd stay above the fray; but based on my experiences with Ken, I have no reason to doubt anything Destry has stated...
....will look elsewhere when I need an engraver. Excellent and constructive post. Too bad it was 'needed'.

I visited with Mr. Hurst yesterday morning: He has had significant health problems in the past year, down in the back and was on his way to back therapy yesterday. I talked to my Gunsmith who had sent my Fox to Mr. Hurst, who said "Call him in the morning,and you will probably get him." I did, and it worked.
I wish him and my friend Destry all the best, and hope things can be worked out.
I did not open this thread to set off what happened. I have great respect for both men, and, if it's alright, let's just stop here.

I never said he did bad work in general, I said he did bad work for me personally and then refused to reply to any type of message I sent or left for him. It was that simply and nothing more.

Why don't we take a pause here and give some folks some time to extricate their foot from their mouth. Personally to me the above displayed examples of Mr. Hurst's work is SUPER (but what do I know?)

You know a great deal, George, my friend. This might have been a great thread ,those m21 photos of Ken's work- the details of the dog- speak for themselves. And as usual here- the "tweedeldum and dweedle-dumber deadly duo of Market Basket and old HoJo have managed to turn this thread into a "Charlie Foxtrot' scenario.
If you have a complaint against Mr. Hurst- Destry- keep it to yourself please- I have zero respect and tolerance for those "Fettig Jungenden" who hide behind a computer screen, and do not have the cojones to confront someone "mano a mano" being a bar bouncer and scaring the piss outta half drunk spiled rich college punks does NOT make a man a Chuck Norris or a Jean C. VanDamme, IMO-- Whatever happened to the old advice- "If you don't have something positive to say- keep your pie hole closed"__ Thansk you George for your support of our mutual friend and Master engraver Ken Hurst- we all wish him a speedy recovery!!
