HEY and thanks everyone. And yes it hurt. First new gun since 1973. Been saving up for a long time so yea. The repair was really easy and covering meeting lines was simple as i have repaired many old stocks and have gotten pretty good at it. I will buy a broken stock when i can find them cheap or for free and then figure out how to repair that kind of damage. I have done 15 so far some broken in half or split doubles with ears (part at receiver) broken off. It has been fun learning. I am just having a problem with this finish. But i again thank all of you and will try these.
