Bought a new Browning Citori 20ga, 26" for quail hunting. Has a matte blue finish on receiver (plain) and barrels and a dark satin or dull looking stock and forend. My problem is that i droped it comming out of the store and chipped a 2" long and 3/4" deep peice out of the stock and broke the butplate. I have repaired the stock and refitted a new buttplate. I have done this before on old stocks using glassbedding and brass screws and refinished. This stock i cant seem to get a match and i am trying to blend the finish. Can anyone tell me how to obtain this dark finish and what it is on these new Brownings. Satin, matte, gloss what.
Thanks
Tommy
