Lord Lowell -
Stunning, indeed! But please scrap the L.L. Bean Downeast buttwarmer wrapping blanket And underlay this magic wand with a bolt Of the genuine Glenthorne tartan! The great ones deserve nothing less! KBM

Over the years, self-designated Lowell thread bashers have come and gone. Most run outta gas, and are never remembered for much of anything.

jOe's measurements and geometry both suspect. Bricks in this little Piggy's house measure 2 1/2" including mortar seam. That would make the Laird's tubes about 28 3/4" and considering a bit of length is getting chewed by crossing the unit of measurement on the bias, 30" sounds about right. Saw one at Millbrook, Lowell. No bricks available for a scientifically-based evaluation but I was able to establish the price after counting zeros for awhile.

jack, they're good guns, but I must confess that I've lost some interest in it. I like my Fox AE better these days. PS. Sterlingworth too! I'm headed down the pristine American farmer's gun trail - says I. Now I need to find one. Tweed can cause a rash sometimes.

Nice shooter Mr.Lowell....that's got to be the shortest forearm I've ever saw ? That's what made me think the picture was dOctored.
How long did you say that splinter forearm was ?
