Has any one on here been in contact with Ken Hurst?
I've tried to contact him a few times in the past couple months with no luck.
Just wanting to make sure he is still okay and kicking.

Ken Hurst seems to have dropped off all the gun boards that he contributed too. This all happened at the time his much beloved wife passed away. Perhaps he has other priorities that are more important then posting. I have heard unofficially he is still accepting work (a fellow has to eat). I can't recollect even seeing one of his adverts lately. I do wish him, and his family well.

I was speaking with Ken on Friday night. Had about a 90 minute conversation. While I don't know him and hadn't spoken to him before he seemed full of piss and vinegar (in a good way) but was obviously sad about the recent loss of his wife.

He spent about 15 minutes describing a rib joint about 30 miles from his home that had my mouth watering the whole time.

He did mention that he is rarely on the computer anymore. Says he is in the shop working most days. Regarding Harry's comment, he is still accepting work but described being fairly selective about the kinds of projects he is getting involved with.

Regards,

James

I talked with Ken a couple of weeks ago - as canvasback said he seemed ready to go and commented that he was always at the shop working. He has answered the phone both times I've called - good guy to talk to, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Perhaps I just gave up too soon.
I have his phone number, and will give him some more tries.
Thanks, fellows. I appreciate it.

Glad to know Mr. Hurst is doing so well. I wonder why he's never returned my emails, calls, or letters in response to the unsatisfactory work he did for me recently?

I didn't know Ken did unsatisfactory work. Love the guy. Haven't talked to him in a while though and I feel a little guilty about that so I need to call him soon. You need to plan time to talk to him though. It's never a short conversation. LOL. The boy loves his barbeque.

I've never known Ken to anything but top quality work. I hope that he keeps at it.
