Gough Thomas reviewed a Crown Sabel in the UK Shooting Times magazine in the early 1980’s when they were imported by 'Gunmark'.

He thought quite a lot of it, finding the piece well made for the price. Most of all he praised the fact that the maker had produced an unadorned but very elegant gun without resorting to using some of the production budget on engraving.

I notice Thad Scott has a Perazzi SHO for sale listed as a type 2 (i.e. rebounding locks). Perhaps someone could be kind enough to confirm or correct my thought that judging by the pin placement on the lock plates it’s a type 1 (it makes a difference in price – i.e. less). The quoted production date would indicate a type 1 as well.
