Details for the upcoming Southern SXS Fall Classic at Backwoods Quail Club near Georgetown, South Carolina are available online. I've gone the past two years and had a great time. Targets are fun and really interesting. Most of the course circles a pond and the woods. Always something unique (some targets were fired off a trampoline last year). Also some interesting shooting games available.

Hospitality at Hemingways is first rate, with great southern food served in the clubhouse with the football game on. There are also opportunities for preserve bird hunting and a european tower shoot ahead of the event.

Last year there were two tents of best quality vendors. Event has really grown each year and I expect it will be bigger than this year's Vintage Cup.

I have already signed up for the tower Pheasant with another shooter. Last year's pheasant shooters said it was great. I was out after quail last year. The pheasant shoot is Friday, leaving plenty of time for clays Sat/Sun.
What really makes the Fall event unique, is the ability to shop, shoot clays, hunt quail and/or a pheasant tower shoot, all in the same weekend.
It is best to call ahead and reserve a quail hunt or pheasant shoot to help Rick manage the staffing needs.

Should be a good selection of hammer guns. Kirby Hoyt of Vintage Doubles says on his website that he will be at the Fall Southern. Also Toby Barclay of Heritage Guns has this notice:

We were really disappointed that we had to cancel our trip to the Vintage Cup in Maryland this September. However, our good friend Bill Kempffer of Deep River Sporting Clays has found room for us at the Fall Side by Side Classic at the Backwoods Quail Club in Georgetown, South Carolina.
