Yes, it is a double. I have been told from several sources that this gun was made between 1780-1810. It is a 20ga. with 34" barrels. To tell you the truth, when I first tried a flinter for wing shooting, the mild delay drove me crazy, now I am not even aware of it, it all. Just get on target and pull through it as you swing with it. But, when I go to a perc. gun or a cartridge gun, the instant ignition almost scares me.
