I should have asked you guys BEFORE I did this, but anyone who knows Drillings would you look at Gunbroker Item=65484635 and let me know if I'm on target? I don't want it to go too cheap, but I DO want it to go. Thanks for any advice!

With your starting bid I don't think you have to worry about it going too cheap.

Sorry but I don't think it will go at all. I buy this caliber/shape drillings all the time for between $800-$1500. Good luck.

Agree with Mike. I have a couple in that rifle caliber, it's tough to find ammo for it other than S & B which is not good quality brass for reloading, and even it is over $3 per pop. Another rifle caliber would make it easier to sell. I would think the upper end of Mike's estimate is about right.

Johan Fanzoj of Sweden...
Oh, boy! Don't you know Fanzoj is from Russia?! I guess Johan will be very disapointed ;D

priced way too high, but I do like the shape of the hammers. Not every maker has an artistic flair to their hammer shaping-even some higher end English guns. But I love the shape of these hammers.

1) As Geno suggests, Johan Fanzoj is an Austrian, not a Swede.
2) You don't say who the maker is.
3) If I were going to spend over $3000 on a drilling, I'd sure want to see photos of a much higher quality than that provided.

MAN, tough crowd. It's been years since I was in contact with Johan, I thought he had said Sweden. But according to a couple of you he's an Austrian born in Russia, or is it the other way around? It was a simple question, I didn't need a beating on it...would somebody care to make some constructive suggestions as to how I should market it? I can't make out the maker, who's the Drillings expert?

And I was just going by what I'd been told guys, gimme a break! Thank you to Marc & Ron for avoiding the sarcasm. I do wish I'd been born knowing everything like some people, but alas, I have to learn as I go. Let's try to help me do THAT, ok?
