A vitrine is one of those finely-wrought display cases, mostly glass held in place with fine woods and ormulu. Often a curved glass front, just because and just because it's more expensive that way. An object d'vitrine is, obviously, one of those things that gets put in a glass case to be looked at and not touched.
JOe - this is not an ordinary Husky. Mark's posted a lot of pics of it and it's really quite nice - nicely figured Damascus barrels, good engraving and strikingly figured wood. I've never hunted chukar but, from what I know about it involving clambering across talus slopes, I wouldn't take it there. But that's me. YMMV
