Taking a nice gun chukar hunting is a bit different that going after pheasant or quail. That is the one place I only take disposable guns. It is also the only game I've hunted where I frequently fall down in the rocks and drop my gun. When I do carry a favorite weapon after chukar I sure watch my footing and avoid areas I would usually attempt to cross.


I've learned the hard way to always carry my gun to the outboard side when side-hilling, and I put a neoprene stock guard on my guns too. I usually do more damage to my guns scratching them with items from my vest than I do anything else.
