Hi guys,

I had several things I wanted to go for. A second Evans to put a composed pair together with my first Evans and a few other potential restoration guns.

ALL bar one went for daft money. As far as I am concerned. I bought an Evans case in preparation for the gun that in the end I wouldn't win due to being out bid for daft money.

I also bought an interesting little Westley Richards. It was made during the tiny period of transition between pinfire to hammer/hammerless breech. I fell in love with it. (More fool me). Anyway it's mine now warts and all. Here is a picture. I don't have it until Tuesday and will post more pictures then.

Then hammers strike using their undersides (read bellies) onto the pins. Rather interesting. It's also a 16 bore. I don't own a 16 bore yet...well I do now.

Nice! That gun sure is a looker. I think I won a Westley too. I'll need to contact my bidder to be sure. Mine will be a long term project if I ended up with it.

I won a Westley 16 bore and a Kreighoff .500 double. I do love the Westleys.

Mike did you win the one at the end of the auction in a case?

I did end up with this one. Damascus barrels and ejectors too. It will be upgraded with new wood and some engraving.

I won 1532. A nice ejector with damascus barrels. The stock has been shortened to 12 3/8".

Tough to find with a top safety. I was interested in it, but the bbls were too off for me.

Congratulations on your purchases!

I purchased a W.W. Greener cartridge case from Holt's a while back but I decided to sit this auction out.

Have not looked at the prices for the sold items yet but I thought I had been seeing a downward trend with the prices in recent auctions. Some really good deals could be found - even with paying Holt's and the shipping to the USA.
